MessageTrappo......... I`ll post a reply here for you and anyone else that might be concerned.

The knock only affected a small percentage of 2003 (K3) bikes and possibly a very few early 2004 (K4) bikes.
Still some different views on the cause (main bearings or clutch basket) but Suzuki are installing revised main bearings under Warranty and I know of only one bike that apparently developed the knock again. UK dealers are good at getting the fix done, slowly but surely US dealers seem to be getting the message.

2005 bikes have a revised crank/main bearings amongst other updates ;-)

Test ride the bike..........if you like it (you will!), buy it. The odds are in your favour, get the Warranty for piece of mind.
