| Message | She said yes! Atop the cliffs overlooking Harper's Ferry, where three states and two rivers intersect. After a beautiful hike and singing some hymns, I read a poem that I had written for her and then took a knee. After she said yes, I told her that had she said otherwise I would have stepped off the cliff and fallen into the river 300 feet below. It was beautiful and perfect! She was completely surprised. After dinner, we returned to her house and opened a bottle of 12 year single malt Macallen's, which I had bought to celebrate the occasion. A bottle of expensive drink is a great way to celebrate. For weeks to come, each sip is a wonderful reminder that she said yes and the privileges of matrimony are soon to follow! |

| Message | My man, It is great to be able to get a glimpse into your life through your blog. Do I get the prize for being the oldest friend to post? It has been what? about 14 years? Since we really started hanging out. I suppose we were in the same school for longer than that, but I don't think we really knew each other until my freshman year. You have always been a great friend who I appreciate and love dearly. As steadfast a man of God as I have had the please to know, though I am sure you would try to disagree with me, I know you to be one of the best human beings around. I always enjoy the times we get to spend together and hope we will have more opportunities in the future, but either way, I count myself blessed to have you as my friend. Your next visit will definately have to include some new nerf guns. Keep on blogging it is so much fun to read, hmmm, yeah, basically entertain me. *grin* |
