MessageE-Troop 2/14ACR-2/11ACR 1971-1973. I remember some really wild times the week in 1971 that Phil Pfieffer,Ken Schmidt,my brother Alan Yoder and I spent in Munchen at the Oktoberfest. In 1972 my brother and I spent a week and a half at the Oktoberfest, touring Austria and visiting Dachau.I have good memories of Graf, especially drinking beer with the German soldiers in the Beer Hall.I also had good times on the Border-sure was cold in Winter;very fond memories of the Cave in Bad Kissengen and the German friends I miss.I would like to hear from anyone from E-Troop especially those from 2nd Squad.

MessageGreetings my fellow Cav members ... I was assigned to Hq Plt M Troop 2/14 ACR from January 1966 to Feb 1967 when I departed for service in Vietnamn. Departed the Cav as a SP4, departed Vietnam HHC 2/14 Inf, 25th Inv Div as the Bn Communications Chief SSG smilie from Mar 67 until the Div departed for Hawaii, I reassigned to Engr Command out of Long Bin and departed Vietnam in January 1972, accepting a position as Training and operations NCO for the communication school at Leonardwood, Separated for medical reasons in 1977.

I ran into Creg Thingpin and his family at 6 Flags in Missouri a number of years later. I had to return back to our Home State WI, and we returned here in November 1977.

Have been medically retired for the last two years and have now authored three books, "The Players/Murder Around The World, the sequel to that book Trials by Murder and a book of Verses, The Verses of Mark. I have been forunate to have a publisher that believed in the book and has been my publisher for two years. I ask that if you enjoy reading ... please take a look.

Thanks, and by the way, please do write back, I will reply, being retired has given me some spare time.

Rick
