MessageIt's been many years since I stayed in a Guesthouse. I usually travel a lot and end up booking into a hotel chain more for convenience i suppose. However, I was recommended Elmdon Lodge by a colleague and we gave it a go. Boy were we impressed. It was like being home from home (not that my home is quite as large) room had everything we needed, bed was extra comfortable, so a great night sleep was had. Breakfast in the morning was delicious, you could choose what ever you fancied. Why do cooked breakfast taste so good when you have not made them yourself? Katherine is just so friendly and goes out of her way to help with anything you need-just wish we had more than one night to spend there! Will definatly be back to stay anytime we are down in the area. Thank you for making us feel so welcome x

MessageA wonderful guest house. It is in a brilliant location with regards to exploring Birmingham and local attractions. The rooms are well appointed and clean. The breakfast absoulutely wonderful. You certainly would not leave hungry. But the warm welcome received from Katherine and Terry outshines everything else. They strive to make you feel welcome and do more than is required to make your stay perfect. We were sorry to leave.

MessageIn mid March this year my wife & I plus two grown up children stayed at this marvellous hotel for 4 nights.Everything was perfect & nothing was too much trouble for Katherine & Terry to do if asked. The Acocks Green village shops were 7' walk away & the train station 5'. Hop on a train & in no time at all you're in the Brum City centre. Or take the train the opposite way & you're in Solihull (or London if you forget to step off! LOL!). Private secure car parking behind the hotel & lovely green, peaceful surroundings.
Add to this a yummy "Full English" each morning all added up to real value for money. Next time I'm in Birmingham, if there are vacancies,I'll be back.....never stayed in a better hotel ever!!
Thank you K. & T. for everything,
Ron, Linda, Jessica & Duncan Tennant smilie (Belgium)

MessageI stayed at Elmdon for 9 months ending July 2010 and received great service thoughout. I enjoyed my stay there from the start. I had an initial warm friendly welcome from the owners AND then the staff (who are always cheerful no matter what the time is!). Everyone, even the other guests, seems to want to make your stay memorable for the right reasons. Great food as well, comfortable accommodation, real fire in lounge - highly recommended. Just leave enough room for me when I need it! smilie

MessageEven though we only stayed for one night at Elmdon Lodge, we were made to feel welcome with a warmth and friendliness that made us wish we could stay longer. In particular, not-quite-five year-old Thomas had a wonderful time and was catered for superbly in every respect.

From now on, we shall be staying at Elmdon Lodge every time we visit Birmingham.
