| Message | In the summer of 1994 Windlaw AFC decided to go on a summer tour of the Greek island of Crete. During our two week pre-season training camp many games and sessions were arranged. Bad taste night(won by James Neeson for an outstanding performace, only to be stripped of his title at the end of a long hard game.) singing of national anthems. Many nations competed, but one version of a great scottish classic(originally sung by billy connelly), but to shame by a fantastic and skilliful display, at that time a young and upcoming actor, Martin Docherty, to the music of u2's desire, he endeavoured to sing ON A HILL FAR AWAY in our national languge of old pissed uncle at house party. On the eve of Windlaw afc vs Ireland select, all the boys went to the training grond of the irish team to show them we had no fear (MOLLY MALONES ), putting in this extra training session took its toll on our squad, therefore stand in boss big Shug decided we should relax at the nearby pool (which had plenty of eye candy). But like a brother of a true profession Paul Mac stayed in our team hotel. One hour before kick off we returned to the hotel to find Paul had put in an extra session and was laying in a pool of his own pish. Washing himself down and gelling his hair we made our way to the stadium, the fans were all waiting like a briggy V benigans, half cut and singing. Windlaw fought like soldiers that day, coming away with a 5-4 victory, goals from neeson, smith and dooley, accompanianed by a.... |
