When Elaine and her family lived back there in Lorton, VA. we visited them several times and are familiar with the area. Such an interesting place. So much history. We so enjoyed driving and viewing all there was to see. Your picture of the statue of Iwo Jima reminded Elmer of that battle he was in and he saw the raising of the first flag on Mt. Sarabachi. I look at this site many times during the day : ) but have never made my presence known. Well, here i, vowing not to be so sneaking so am going to shout from the rooftop. I did a little hiking and climbing last weekend and you were the topic of conversation for 4 seconds. I went as a leader for an IWU group, unfortuntaley since you are so old no one knew you but Gary Swyers and he was wondering if you have gotten some backpacking equipment because we may go in Aug. HOpe you are doing well James, do you think that you may be there for Thanksgiving?
