MessageGood luck to the 1st XI at home to Torquay (1pm) -and to the 2nds at Barton - hopefully we can secure a double success that would be a fitting aux-revoir to dear old Joe! One last ditty about Joe - his most used two words when watching cricket? I'd have to go for "bloodyyyyy rubbishhhhhhh" - (I smile as I tap the words out)

MessageThanks for the kind words Steve. It is my duty as a coach to help develop the next generation of BCC cricketers and it's a pleasure to have William playing for the U13s with me. Him and the other boys are always at the nets, regardless of the weather, always working hard and enjoying the game and that is what you want to see from young players! Hopefully this weather will improve so the boys can get some match experience under their belts.

You may have 1 or 2 games still in ya P smilie

Thanks for the message about Jabus, he was loved at the club, fitted in well and is always welcome for a return!

MessageBig Bird - wot I saw on Saturday ain't no geezer at the end of his reign - spring chicken or wot! Anybody wondering what was on at the club on Bank Holiday Monday - twas four cricket daft lads in the nets for four and a half hours dodging showers! The future at BCC looks good (!?!) smilie

MessageJust like to publicly proclaim and THANK Gary Chappell (and his brother Scott) for the Friday night coaching - after TWO rained off weeks they were able to get some work in on May 4 (albeit thermals needed for watching parents!!). Gary was SUCH A HELP to Birley mark III (in terms of BCC) and if William learns / enjoys as much as he did last night then I am sure BCC will be the long term benefit. The Club is LUCKY to have such committed (and quality) coaching available.
