That said, you are right, there are a distinct lack of cows here in Guadalajara. I think you need to learn some phrases about cockroaches and stray doggies instead. How about 'el perro estaba comiendo la cucaracha viva'? Slightly bizarre but making a bit more sense than cows.... Hannah and Ben! How goes it in Sunny Santander? Han, I'm so sorry I didn't ring you on your birthday - expect a random phonecall sometime soon. I'm sending your birthday present package over with mam and dad to send to the good old Isle when they come, as packages here take forever and I you still wont have got it even after I return. How's the co-op Ben? Any radical changes? How was your europe jaunt? As for the extensive blogging...err...what can I say other than....I don't know, tell me when the word count gets to 100,000 and I will have a mini party (any excuse really...!) Right now I am munching on my cereal and waiting for my friend Cassandra to come so we can go and gossip away our afternoon. I do need to do some work at some point but maybe later....! | Message | Hi Anna At last you've updated your blog. About time too!! Sounds like your'e having fun. We are both getting quite excited about coming over next month. I hope you've left something for me to buy in the market! Learning Spanish isn't going brilliantly. I think we're too old. Dad is better than I am. | Message | Hi Anna I've just returned from London where I met with Fran on Wednesday and took her out to eat at a trendy resturant one of her classmates had recommended- The Real Greek. The food was tasty and we had two cocktails each but the portions made it less value for money than the Turkish restaurant I ate at the evening before in The Cut near the National Theatre. Fran is working really hard as the course is very demanding but it sounds excellent as a preparation for a career in broadcast journalism. Fran looked great -very stylish!. I have just read your last two entries. You sound as if you have a lot of work to do when you are at Uni but enough time to enjoy life also- though try not to leave your dissertation till the end of the year!I hope you've got a new prescription and have got rid of your sore throat. I saw Alan Bennets' new play The History Boys at the National on Tuesday.What's Mexican theatre like? Last weekend Barry and I went to a wedding at Matfen hall in Northumberland and stayed overnight at the hotel. The bride looked lovely and we all had a good time but I am glad my nieces are still single and partying!  Did you get your birthday card?It may not have arrived but I hope you had a great birthday party! Take care of yourself ! Love Mau |

Just to let you know, me and a mate are gonna be going to Guanajuato on Thurs 14 for El festival Cervantino. It sounds muy chido. You should come and meet us there if you can.
