MessageYou're a total tool. Yes, your weathering's good, but you're not the master you think you are. Plenty of others do things better, and are willing to discuss their techniques without arrogantly comparing themselves to classical artists. The only thing jaw-dropping on this site is your attitude.

MessageI love your work you have set the standard for model weathering. I enjoy the building and creating of my HO basement world from operations, scenery, electronics..... You have written a new chapter "Weathering". Long gone are the days that I'm satisfied looking at a piece of rolling stock that has been weathered by meerly dusting it with an airbrush.

Thanks for this inspiring website!

Phil

MessageI have enjoyed your talent and contributions to our great hobby so far. Please continue to expose your art & model projects for all of us to enjoy. I also think you should write a book or manual for the masses. It will fly off the shelves... you & I know it.

smilie Sincerely: Dave

MessageMike,
I enjoyed reading your brief biography. It appears that Mother Nature "mellows" man's creations over time with tapestries of rust and dust. The secret is in the intense observation of her art....personalizing her brush strokes with yours. I am sure She is very proud.

MessageHey Mike,
You're certainly in a class of your own. (head & shoulders comparatively, above anyone out there in this unique field of art!) Your work is SOLID! to say the least and is quite inspirational to many who share in the passion of re-creating prototypical models of contemporary rolling stock from various railroad systems. I've been a devout Espee fan since the early 1980's and I must express my appreciation for your fine works depicting this road's freight cars and it's subsidiaries! I visit your web site daily in earnest of viewing any lastest creation from your HIGHLY talented hands. Would love to share photos of my work, should you be interested in seeing them... feel free to e-mail me!
Keep rockin' MM!!!!

MessageHey, your model work exceeds any other work that will be produced for years to come. I think a Southern Pacific speed lettered autorack would be a nice rust bucket project. look forward to furture models.
