MessageHi!

I live in San Jose, CA, and OH MY GAWD!!! Does this bring back memories!!!!

When I was little, we lived in Oakland, CA, right across the street from Montgomery Wards!! I have the orginal Fab Four, and also Kip, Side Part, curled Glori,Jessica, and the two guys (foret their names right now).

But anyway, I LOVED THESE DOLLS, even more so than Barbie, but Dawn were my faves! To me they were more than just dolls...they represent women I wanted to be, especially with their far-out, funky, elegant fashions!

Thanks for having this website! It wasn't until I was watching a tv program on Barbie and collectibles, that I remembered Dawn, but I am so glad I did.

Sadly, none of my Dawn dolls survied, so I am going to start my "collection" and feed my inner child again.

Thank you for bringing back wonderful mememories!

Ilu smilie

MessageI live on the central coast of CA, and have long collected dolls as did my mother. I am going to start selling them at an antique shop in Cayucos Jan 1. In researching the dolls I ran into your website. So I thought I'd ask you about some of them.

I have a Dawn doll (she has rectangular holes in the bottom of her heels, so I assume she is a Dawn doll) that my mother had. She has long, striaght golden orange hair w/ bangs. She was undressed and I made her a 2 tiered black pioneer type long dress (w/peach & blue flower buds & two rows of lace as well as lace at end of 3/4 sleeve)and petticoat w/lace and long pantaloons. Unfortunately I sewed the dress on so can't find any mark. We also added a peach satin bonnet fancy w/cascade of flowers and a lace trim w/grograin ribbon to tie it on. I possibly got from a doll convention.

Are you interested in buying her? As I didn't see any pictures of the dolls you have for sale, I couldn't compare her to yours so have no idea of her value.

I also have a naked Betsy McCall w/light brown hair. Any interest?

MessageI WAS ON YOUR SITE LOOKING FOR INFORMATION ON 2 DOLLS THAT I GOT WHEN I WAS ABOUT 2 & 3. I DON'T KNOW THE ACTUAL NAME OF THEM, BUT I STILL HAVE BOTH. BOTBH ARE IN POOR CONDITION, BUT I WILL NOT PART WITH THEM. I HAVE THE NUMBERS AND THEY ARE HORSMAN DOLLS. THEY ARE IN THE ERA OF 1966-1968. IF YOU CAN HELP ME FIND OUT WHAT THEIR NAMES ACTUALLY WERE IT WOULD BE NICE.THANKS, ERIN

MessageHi Just want to say I love your Dawn stuff. I am in my 40's and I still love Dawn Dolls. She was one of the best memories of my childhood. My very first and only Dawn, I ever had as a child was Dawn with the blue/white mini dress. She had white boots. I have her now and I am looking for others I couldn't have as a child to collect now.
Dawn was the perfect doll. I had a few Barbies and liked her too. But Dawn was and is still my favorite Doll of all time.
Thanks for your Dawn web site. You have a lot of groovy stuff.
Thanks---
RC
