MessageHi!
I was in Latina, Italy last week for a course and used the weekend to rent a car and visit Fallascoso for the first time. I was warmly received by the people there, all of whom remembered my grandparents Rinaldo and Maria Di Valerio, who emmigraed to the US in the 20's. I really appreciate your web site. It's been a big help piecing together all the missing bits in my effort to create a family tree. I really need to work on Italian, though. Keep up the good work. Phil

MessageMy father was born in fallascoso and came to the USA when he was 7 or 8 years old. Me and my wife had a chance to visit in 2001 and actually visited the house where he was born. The people were very friendly and warm. Perhaps we will visit again. The website is great and we have passed it on to a few relatives and friends.

MessageI find this Fallascoso site most interesting because of the number of people with the Di Valerio name associated with it. My branch of the Di Valerio family comes from Alfedena in the Province of L'Aquila, and I have traced my heritage back to a Domenico Di Valerio who lived and died in Alfedena in the mid 1700's. Has anyone researched the Di Valerio name in Fallascoso and found any relationship to the Di Valerios of Alfedena? If so, I'd love to hear from you. My email address is domer52@adelphia.net
