| Message | Hi Andy
Really pleased you have put this site on the web, i have been suffering from pituitary problems for the last 10-15 years but in a very slow and gradual way, i have been diagnosed and treated for many conditions that i didnt even have!
In November of 2009 i was diagnosed with a condition called isolated growth hormone deficiency, this is not caused by a tumour, according to my consultant i have a very rare inherent condition that is passed down or caused by a faulty gene!
Strange thing is i grew up and developed normally but when i got to the age of 29 i felt subtle changes start, and then by the time i got to 32 it all started to go down the slippery slope, weight gain, depression, fatigue, mood swings etc etc, i am no 45 and have just been diagnosed with the definate problem ''AT LAST'' ...
Well i will continue my ramble when i get to know a bit more, waiting to see a hormone specialist on the 24th Febuary, really glad you are here, this is the first site i have found where i dont feel out of my depth and not be able to comment on my condition.
Thank you for being here.
Regards
